Lucas has been in day care for the past 14 months.
In all these months, he's been really good when Will drops him off as he does not cry or cling to him when he leaves. Heck, he didn't even cry on the very first day I dropped him off at daycare.
Will has been staying at home with Lucas 3x a week, both of them enjoying every minute bonding with each other.
While this is all good -- it makes dropping Lucas off at daycare very sad in the past week. When Will drops Lucas off, he clings to Dad and cries. :( He misses being with Daddy. The cries subsides once he starts playing and sees his friends.
He is his usual happy self tho when we pick him up at daycare. When we enter the daycare, there's another interior door to the play area. It's glass. When we go in, we also see the kids fighting for a spot on the door peeking out to see if its their Mommy or Daddy.
It is our favorite part of the day. We walk in the door and always see Lucas' face pressed on the frosted window of the door.
When the door is opened, he runs out to us with a big smile and says "Mama/Daddy"!!! We scoop him up in our arms and squeeze him and give him kisses!
I have to get a picture of it one of these days as seeing him run to us with a big smile just melts my heart.
